DEPOSIT: We will charge 50% to the credit/debit card you entered when making a reservation. The remaining 50% (and other charges) will be taken care of when you check in at our inn.
CANCELLATIONS: All cancellations must be cancelled by phone, not through email.
Reservations may be cancelled or changed up to 14 days prior to your reservation date. Minimum stay requirements must be met when changing a reservation, in general, a Saturday stay requires that you also stay either Friday or Sunday. There are occasional exceptions, however, these must be approved by the manager of the Inn.
Within 14 days of your arrival, the reservation becomes noncancelable and you are responsible for 100% of the room nights booked. If you want to reschedule your stay, we will apply the full amount of the deposit to the future stay. This stay must happen within the calendar year and is 100% non-refundable, higher rates may apply for your new dates.
If you booked a room using Booking.com, Expedia or Hotels.com (or similar OTA - online travel agency) - you MUST cancel with the booking agent you used. You must call us to cancel your reservation if you booked directly with our inn, email cancellations are not accepted. Please do not consider your reservation cancelled until you have received a cancellation email. This email will be your confirmation in case of a problem.
If you book four or more rooms or a stay of more than 4 nights, we need at least 30 days notice to cancel, even if the room reservations are made individually.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: Our SNOW or extreme weather policy allows for cancellations or rescheduling ONLY when the Maryland State Police, or the police in your home state issues a TRAVEL BAN (IE making driving illegal except for essential personnel) on main roads due to snow, ice, high winds or a hurricane. Rain is not accepted as a reason for cancellations. We do not accept cancellations more than 24 hours in advance of your arrival since the weather often changes. If you are concerned about the travel conditions, please call us to discuss the situation. If you cancel due to a travel ban, we will charge you for your entire stay and issue you a gift certificate good for 1 year.
MINIMUM STAY: Two night minimum stay (Friday & Saturday OR Saturday & Sunday) most weekends, holiday weekends require a three night stay. Special winter rates are available January through March and a one night stay may be available during those months.
DAMAGES: A damage fee will be charged if there is damage to bedding, rugs or furniture or fixtures. This damage fee is also applied to smoking in the room, a minimum charge of $250.00. Please notify us promptly so we can deal with the problem and minimize or avoid any permanent damage. If the room is put out of service because of the damage, you will be responsible for lost revenue.
CHILDREN AND PETS: We only accept children 12 and older. Our King # 8 suite has an additional room with two twin beds. This is the only room in which we allow children, with advance notice. We do not have blow up or roll away beds and we do not allow them to be used in any room. For all rooms, except room 8, the maximum number of guest per room is two. There is an additional cost of $50.00 per night for additional guests in Room 8.
We do not accept pets. Only true service dogs are allowed, therapy pets are not allowed.
SMOKING: The Inn is a non-smoking building, as are all public buildings in Talbot County, with guests allowed to smoke outside on the front porch, patio or deck. Smoking in the room will incur a minimum charge of $250.00.
LOCATION/PARKING: Our location is in the town within walking distance to the museum, shops and restaurants. Our rear parking lot provides off-street parking for our guests.
CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT: Normal check-in is from 2 to 7 PM. Please provide us with your ETA and discuss with the innkeeper if you plan to check in outside of 2- 7 PM. We can check you in earlier, even if your room is not ready and you are always welcome to leave your car in the parking lot and explore the town. Just come in and let us know you are here.
INN PETS: We have a resident Great Dane, Lola. She is not allowed in any of the rooms, but will be present in the common rooms of the Inn from time to time.
